Novotel Queenstown Lakeside is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented  Public Area Attendant  to join our Housekeeping team. We are seeking a candidate who can  commit long-term  to the role and holds a  long-term visa to work in New Zealand . This role plays a vital part in ensuring our hotel’s public spaces are clean, welcoming, and maintained to the highest standards for our guests. As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public and back-of-house areas of the hotel in line with Novotel brand standards, health and safety requirements, and company procedures. Shifts are from  7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, five days a week rotating roster , including weekends and public holidays.

Job Description

· 
Clean and maintain all public and back-of-house areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, spa, gym, restaurants, bars, conference rooms, laundry, and staff areas.

· 
Perform routine, deep, and special cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemicals safely.

· 
Replenish consumables and handle guest laundry according to hotel procedures.

· 
Dispose of rubbish safely, report maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or hazards promptly.

· 
Follow procedures for lost property, key security, and guest safety.

· 
Comply with all health, safety, hygiene, and security standards.

· 
Assist with additional duties as required by Housekeeping department.

Qualifications

· 
Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning will be advantageous (hotel experience preferred but not essential)

· 
High attention to detail and a strong work ethic

· 
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· 
Physically fit and comfortable with manual work

· 
Reliable, punctual, and well-presented

· 
Strong understanding of health and safety practices

· 
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
