Job Description

To assist the Executive Housekeeper in planning, organizing, and supervising all activities related to public areas—including indoor and outdoor spaces such as lobbies, corridors, restrooms, meeting areas, wellness center and gardens. Ensure that cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance are consistently delivered in accordance with Fairmont brand standards.

Responsibilities:

·  Support the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the public area team, including outsourced or night-shift personnel if applicable.
·  Assign duties and monitor performance of public area attendants to ensure that all tasks are completed timely and in accordance with set housekeeping procedures and safety standards.
·  Inspect public areas regularly to ensure they meet cleanliness, hygiene, and brand presentation standards, and that maintenance issues are promptly reported.
·  Supervise the cleaning and upkeep of garden areas, outdoor facilities, and all guest-facing common spaces.
·  Monitor and manage public area cleaning schedules based on guest traffic flow and event requirements.
·  Coordinate with Engineering, Security, and other relevant departments for smooth operations and timely resolution of public space-related concerns.
·  Ensure proper inventory and usage of cleaning materials and equipment specific to public areas.
·  Train and coach public area team members on service standards, chemical handling, hygiene, and Fairmont grooming & conduct expectations.

Team Management

·  Act as a key liaison between the Executive Housekeeper and line team
·  Assist in preparing weekly staff schedules and manage daily task assignments
·  Support training initiatives and conduct on-the-job coaching to enhance skills and service delivery
·  Supervise uniforms and grooming standards of housekeeping team members
·  Support recruitment processes and contribute to performance evaluations and staff development

Others

·  Help track inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of supplies and amenities
·  Coordinate vendor services (e.g., pest control, outsourced cleaning) and ensure compliance with hotel procedures

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

·  Minimum 2 years of Housekeeping experience as the same level
·  Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
·  Familiarity MC system is an advance

·  Strong leadership, interpersonal and training skills
·  Good communication and customer contact skills
·  Results and service oriented with an eye for details
·  Ability to multi-task, work well in stressful & high-pressure situations
