Reporting to the Front Office Manager and Chief Concierge, our Porters play a dynamic and guest-focused role that goes far beyond handling luggage. From offering a warm welcome to assisting with arrivals, departures, and personalised recommendations, they help create a seamless and memorable experience from the moment guests arrive at our driveway.
What does a Porter's role entail?
· Greet guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival
· Assist with luggage, directions, and general guest inquiries
· Provide valet parking services, driving both automatic and manual vehicles
· Offer local knowledge and concierge-style recommendations
· Maintain the presentation of lobby and entrance areas
· Collaborate with Front Office team to ensure smooth guest journeys
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
· A valid Australian driver’s license
· Confidence in driving both automatic and manual vehicles
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service
· Physical capability to assist to manually handle luggage, and stand for extended periods
· Availability for rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays
· The ability to legally work in Australia on an ongoing basis
· Experience in a fast-paced, 5-star hotel in a similar role
