Job Description
Job Overview:
The Meetings and Events Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing the entire event lifecycle—from initial sales consultation to flawless execution. This role is responsible for driving revenue through strategic event sales while ensuring seamless coordination between clients and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Management
· Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients to generate new business opportunities.
· Present and promote event spaces, services, and tailored solutions to prospective clients.
· Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability while meeting client expectations.
· Maintain high client satisfaction by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving logistical concerns.
Event Planning & Execution
· Oversee end-to-end event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and contract finalization.
· Conduct pre-event briefings with internal teams (Banquet, Operations, F&B) to ensure smooth execution.
· Act as the main liaison between clients and operational staff during event setup and delivery.
Business Development & Strategy
· Develop and implement sales strategies to boost event bookings and revenue growth.
· Analyze sales performance, track key metrics, and maintain accurate records for reporting.
· Stay updated on industry trends to enhance service offerings and competitive positioning.
Cross-Department Coordination
· Collaborate with Banquet, Culinary, and Operations teams to align client expectations with service delivery.
· Ensure all event details are communicated effectively for flawless execution.
Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Profile:
· Proven experience in event sales, hospitality, or MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions).
· Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work under tight deadlines.
· Proficiency in OPERA is a plus.
