Job Description
As a Journeyperson HVAC at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise your care and attention to detail will ensure that our guests have a memorable stay in the Canadian Rockies.
Rate of Pay: $39.88
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
· Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
· Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
· Responsible for all HVAC related trade work at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
· Responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of all HVAC equipment
· Preventative maintenance of equipment pertaining to HVAC
· Ensure all work done in the HVAC department is in compliance with federal and provincial codes and regulations
· Ensure all power tools are in good and safe working conditions
· Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule based on volume of business
· Train and assist the shift maintenance colleagues
· Assist other trades as they relate to HVAC maintenance
· Communicate effectively and professionally with both guests and colleagues
· Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
· High school and/or technical school education required
· Provincial Journeyperson’s certificate for Province of Alberta required
· Background HVAC experience or general knowledge of the trade required
· VRF system knowledge
· Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications required ( Word, Excel & Power Point )
· Gas Fitting Ticket an asset
· Valid Alberta driver’s license required
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
· Highly responsible & reliable
· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
· Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
