Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in 6th of October City, Egypt. In this role, you will oversee daily housekeeping operations, supervise a team of room attendants and housekeeping staff, and ensure that all guest rooms and public areas consistently meet our high standards of cleanliness and service excellence. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will combine strong leadership with a customer-focused approach, maintaining our commitment to guest satisfaction while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

·  Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff, including room attendants and house persons, ensuring efficient completion of all assigned tasks
·  Monitor the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms to verify compliance with established quality standards and company procedures
·  Conduct daily written room inspections and quality assurance checks, documenting findings and addressing any discrepancies promptly
·  Assign special projects and duties as directed by management, ensuring equitable distribution of workload among team members
·  Maintain and organize linen closets on guest room floors, ensuring adequate stock levels and neat presentation at all times
·  Manage guest room attendant supplies and linens, coordinating inventory to prevent shortages and optimize efficiency
·  Respond to guest inquiries and requests with warmth and professionalism, always greeting guests by name whenever possible and expediting prompt service
·  Prepare and inspect VIP and show rooms to ensure they exceed guest expectations
·  Assist in processing AM and PM room status reports and communicate with the front desk to expedite rush room assignments
·  Report and follow up on any maintenance issues, repairs, or discrepancies discovered during room inspections
·  Support the training and development of housekeeping team members, providing guidance and constructive feedback to enhance performance
·  Assist in cleaning guest rooms when necessary to support team productivity during peak periods
·  Oversee public area cleaning and supervise public area attendants to maintain consistent standards throughout the facility
·  Promote sustainability initiatives by encouraging recycling and environmentally responsible practices across all operations
·  Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or management
·  Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and bloodborne pathogen procedures

Qualifications

**Required Skills and Competencies:**

·  Strong leadership and team management abilities with the capacity to motivate and develop staff
·  Exceptional attention to detail and quality control expertise
·  Proficiency in housekeeping computer systems and programs (such as Opera or similar property management software)
·  Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and the "Right to Know" program
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff
·  Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness
·  Time management and organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
·  Physical stamina and ability to perform housekeeping duties when needed
·  Proficiency with radio/paging communication systems and telephone systems
·  Knowledge of health and safety compliance standards and procedures

**Required Experience:**

·  Minimum 2-3 years of housekeeping operations experience in a hospitality setting
·  Proven experience supervising and training housekeeping or similar service staff
·  Demonstrated experience with room inspection, quality assurance, and maintaining cleanliness standards
·  Experience managing linen inventory and guest room supplies
·  Background in guest service with a commitment to customer satisfaction

**Preferred Qualifications:**

·  Certification in hospitality management or housekeeping supervision
·  Experience with multiple property management systems
·  Bilingual capabilities (English and Arabic preferred for the Egypt location)
·  Knowledge of luxury or upscale hospitality standards
·  Experience with budget management and cost control in housekeeping operations

**Education:**

·  High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or management training is a plus
