Job Description

Position:                          Housekeeping Spa Attendant ( Public Area Attendant)

Department:                    Housekeeping

Reports to :                      Spa Manager /Housekeeping Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To be responsible for the overall cleaning, upkeep & maintenance of the spa & Housekeeping department and ensuring maximum efficiency, safety and uncompromising attention to guests. Mix all treatment preparations as instructed and ensure proper usage of product in treatments.

 

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Maintains thorough knowledge of products for each treatment/therapy
·  Maintains cleanliness and report deficiencies of any spa equipment
·  Prepares products and treatment rooms according to bookings
·  Assists in the operation of the spa department as required
·  Maintains the facility in peak sanitary condition at all times             
·  Maintains locker rooms in a tidy manner
·  Checks and cleans lockers when needed
·  Maintains toiletries in locker room vanities
·  Maintains linen inventory to and from laundry on a scheduled basis
·  Directs guests to appointments and assist them in every way possible
·  Assists guests with use of sauna, steam, whirlpool etc.
·  Prepares rooms for treatments according to specified guidelines
·  Ensures stocking of all spa amenities and toiletries, maintain inventory of supplies
·  Maintains accurate records as required by hotel and government regulations
·  Attends weekly/monthly facility operations departmental communications meeting
·  Carries out all daily, weekly & monthly cleaning activities & projects as per the schedule (activities includes but not limited to de-calcification & algae removal from flooring & wall finish, pressure wash cleaning, waxing of slate wall, deep cleaning & glass cleaning of treatment room, cleaning of facilities & gym area, cleaning of lamps & chandeliers etc), other cleaning activities as directed by management.
·  Quarterly deep cleaning, and monthly cleaning & up keeping of Spa mezzanine store
·  Daily upkeep & quarterly deep cleaning of Spa facilities, treatment room & gymnasium
·  Understands and adheres to departmental emergency procedures and safety practices
·  Contributes to maintaining positive relationships not only within the spa & housekeeping department but also with other departments in the hotel
·  Conduct cleaning activities & projects in Housekeeping public areas and relieve housekeeping team members as per schedule.
·  Relive Housekeeping public area team members as per schedule
·  Any other activities or projects as advised by management.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

·  Good English language verbal communication skills 
·  Ability to work cohesively with co-workers and managers as part of a team
·  Ability to be attentive to guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
·  Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time; physically able to push pressure wash cleaner for extended periods of time; ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds
·  Desire to provide phenomenal guest experiences

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Secondary education
·  Good knowledge of products for each treatment/therapy

EXPERIENCE

·  Minimum 1 year experience in Housekeeping or cleaning industry
·  Safety oriented First Aid
·  CPR ‑ Basic Rescuer
