Job Summary – (Role Summary)

· Support the food and beverage service team by keeping control of the flow of business into the outlet; distribute the guests evenly to each station to avoid overloading at one particular station assisting with preparation and delivery of service.
· Adhere to local regulations concerning FSMS / HACCP, health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities of the role)
· Attends to telephone calls and takes table reservations for each meal period.
· Maintains reservation book and all information pertaining to room occupancy and daily events.
· Maintain menu & wine list condition, change menu poster according to meal time
· In charge of flower requisitions for the restaurant; maintains the freshness of floral arrangements on the dining tables and buffet counters.
· In charge of mail and newspaper, pick up for the restaurant & report to logbook
· Performs light secretarial duties i.e. typing and filing of documents; Updates memos at the staff notice board.
· Assist with receiving and storage of goods
· Clean and maintain equipment and premises
· Maintain hygienic standards and procedures
· Assist with the preparation of functions and service
· Assist with the preparation of an outlet for service including:
· Cleaning of equipment
· Sorting of stores equipment
· Cleaning and maintaining glassware for service
· Cleaning and maintain flatware for service
· Cleaning and maintain china for service
· Preparing waiter stations
· Preparing buffet service
· Preparing service equipment and materials
· Assisting with table preparation
· Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships
· Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
· Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
· Actively informs guests of product options and offering
· Takes a diligent and pro-active approach to guest care and service at all times.
· Is personally available to assist any area of the hotel as required if available to do so
Occupational Health and Safety:

· Work in conjunction and cooperate with management in the implementation of OH&S related initiatives
· Avoid the promotion of or participation in any acts that may result in injury to themselves or colleagues.

· Where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to control exposure to hazards in the workplace, wear and maintain the PPE as directed or as required in OH&S procedures.
· Use, taking reasonable care, safety, emergency equipment , plant materials tools and substances provided in the workplace as directed or as required in OH&S procedures

Required Skills –
· Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
· Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local government agency.
· Able to read and write English

Experience –
