Novotel Sydney Darling Square is seeking a hands on and dedicated Handyperson to join our friendly team on a part time basis.

Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance and repair of equipment and services within the Hotel. You will be required to respond to guest’s maintenance requests, and ensure all regulations regarding WHS standards and safe working practices are followed. You will be expected to regularly paint guest and back of house areas, regularly check and service high use/breakable features in all rooms such as doors, window openers, television remote censors, and shower screens. You will comply with established departmental environmental standards and assist with development of improved methods and standards for the Hotel overall, and you will also be required to carry out any adhoc maintenance duties that are necessary to maintain Hotel operations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate previous experience within a similar role. You will pride yourself on your strong communication skills, as well as your positive and solution focussed attitude. You will have no issue working under pressure and achieving deadlines, and will take pride in all the work you undertake. You will have the ability to successfully work within a team environment, as well as the ability to work autonomously. You will be a truly flexible team member who is able to work a variety of shifts including; early mornings, evenings and weekends as per the business demands.
