Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

·  Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues to ensure an exceptional guest experience
·  Ensure grounds are maintained to include power-washing and upkeep of tile and stone walkways
·  Ensure landscape, scrubs and gardens are manicured
·  Alteration and construction of approved gardens
·  Maintain irrigation equipment within the resort
·  Use of gardening tools and equipment in a safe manner
·  Ensure all required tools and materials are stocked and maintained at all times
·  Maintain proper, clean and safe conditions in work areas and vehicles
·  Ensure guest requests are met in a timely manner
·  Work both independently and collaboratively on projects, which may involve planning, sharing information, and organizing tasks.
·  Maintain clean, neat and tidy personal presentation at all times whilst undertaking daily duties
·  Perform any other function related duties and projects as assigned
·  Strict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).

Qualifications

·  Previous experience in grounds and landscaping role required
·  Experience within the Hospitality operations would be an asset
·  Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
·  Must be able to read, write, speak English fluently
·  Intermediate Truck Licence would be an asset
·  Strong work ethic, highly responsible, reliable with the ability to be flexible and work extended hours including evenings, public holidays and weekends as required 

Additional Information

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

·  Practice the kinetic lifting methods when moving all heavy items
·  Sitting - 0-2 hrs/day.
·  Walking/ Standing/ Bending/ Reaching - 6-8 hrs/day.
·  Pushing/Pulling - 4 hrs/day
·  Physical Effort - Does not lift weight over 50lbs
