Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk/Welcomer (Part Time/Zero Hour Contract) to join our team in Southampton, United Kingdom. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere while ensuring efficient front desk operations.
· Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression
· Handle check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately
· Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally
· Manage room reservations, assignments, and status updates
· Assist guests with information about local attractions, dining options, and transportation
· Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest satisfaction
· Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications in a timely manner
· Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
· Ensure the lobby and reception area are clean, organized, and presentable at all times
· Collaborate with other departments to resolve guest issues and enhance overall experience
· Maintain security awareness and follow established safety procedures
· Respond to guest reviews and request
· Ensure proper invoicing and banking
· Handles the breakfast set-up and snacks and drinks sales
· Any other Ad-Hoc
Qualifications
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service
· Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
· Proficiency in basic computer applications and hotel management software
· Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
· Demonstrated versatility and initiative in responding to guest requests
· Friendly and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine passion for hospitality
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
· Knowledge of the local area and popular attractions in Southampton
· High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related education is a plus
· Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in hospitality, is advantageous
