Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team in Mexico City, Mexico. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional experiences and ensuring smooth operations at our hotel's front desk.

·  Greet and welcome guests, providing a warm and professional first impression
·  Perform efficient check-in and check-out procedures, including room assignments and key card issuance
·  Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously
·  Process payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment
·  Upsell hotel services and amenities to maximize revenue and enhance guest experiences
·  Maintain accurate guest records and reservations using the hotel's property management system
·  Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest needs are met and issues are resolved
·  Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and transportation options
·  Assist with concierge services, such as making restaurant reservations or arranging transportation
·  Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
·  Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
·  Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance job skills and knowledge

Qualifications

·  At least 1 year of progressive experience in a Guest Services role, preferably in a hotel setting
·  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, management, hospitality, or related field; or equivalent of 3 years relevant work experience
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
·  Experience with Opera property management system is preferred
·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
·  Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and enthusiastic demeanor
·  Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
·  Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
·  Basic math skills for handling financial transactions and reconciling accounts
·  Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
·  Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
·  Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
·  Knowledge of the hospitality industry and local area attractions is beneficial
