Job Description

As a Food and Beverage Team Leader at Novotel Melbourne South Wharf, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual who can lead our team during evening shifts, ensuring our hotel operate smoothly and efficiently. 

Key Responsibilities:

·  Supervise and delegate duties to ensure smooth daily operations in our outlets 
·  Oversee the set-up, service, and breakdown of dining areas, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests
·  Communicate feedback and key information to the Food & Beverage leadership team
·  Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any concerns or special requests
·  Lead by example and conduct team training to align with Novotel brand and service standards
·  Monitor rosters and staffing schedules to meet operation requirements
·  Ensure the proper handling and settlement of customer accounts using our POS system.
·  Liaise with kitchen to ensure the highest standard of food quality and visual appeal

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

·  A service-focused personality with a passion for food and beverage.
·  Previous experience in a similar leadership role is preferred.
·  Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead by example.
·  Experience in espresso coffee making and bartending will be highly regarded.
·  Confidence in leading a team of food and beverage attendants independently.
·  Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food handling best practices.
·  A Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
·  Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
