Job Description
We're seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team at Novotel Melbourne South Wharf . Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you'll lead and inspire our F&B team to deliver outstanding service and unforgettable moments for our guests.
Key responsibilities:
· Coordinate and manage the day-to-day F&B operations whilst leading and inspiring the team to enhance the guest experience, ensure efficient, friendly and professional service is provided to all guest
· Ensure team members are competent in menu, dietary, and allergens knowledge
· Ensure team members have understanding of beverages and wine list and are competent to make suggestions as required
· Maintain clean and neat presentation of bar and restaurant area(s), following set opening, closing and daily procedures
· Coordinate with Kitchen team to maintain menu quality and consistency
· Manage inventory, place orders, and control costs while maintaining product quality
· Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
· Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
· Assist in creating and implementing innovative F&B promotions and events
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role:
· Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor or in a similar leadership role
· Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to motivate team members
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
· Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate and knowledge of food safety regulations
· Proficiency in inventory management, cost control, and POS systems
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
· Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with a positive, customer-first mindset
