As the flagship hotel for the Mercure brand within Australia we invite you to belong to something bigger. We are a big hotel, looking for some big talent! With 517 refurbished rooms, 12 conference rooms, and multiple food and beverage outlets.

We are on the look out for a Food and Beverage Supervisor, who will be primarily responsible for leading and supporting the events team. This emerging leader will know how to motivate a team, make genuine connections with guests and extend assistance to other operations where needed.

Job Description

·  Full time role, with varying shifts across all 7 days
·  Ensuring that the outlet is running smoothly and all tasks are completed efficiently
·  Lead our front-of-house team to deliver a seamless experience for all guests 
·  Problem solving –you never know what’s going to happen but need to be resourceful with resolving issues
·  Liaise with other departments in the hotel and assist other outlets when needed
·  Train new team members and share your knowledge with the team

Qualifications

·  Prior experience in Food & Beverage service at similar level – with an events and conferencing background 
·  Hold a valid RSA – essential
·  Passion for the hospitality industry and providing exceptional service experience to our guests
·  A team-player, ready to jump in and assist wherever needed
·  Excellent communication skills, problem solving and adaptable to different situations
·  Someone who can lead by example, as well as positively influence and motivate the team
