Job Description
Reporting to the Stewarding Manager, you will assist in the execution of memorable Food & Beverage experiences for our guests. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
· Care and inspect all flatware, tableware and kitchen equipment to ensure a superior sanitization standard
· Clean and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other assigned areas
· Pick-up and dispose of all trash in all food and beverage areas
· Ensure all breakages and chipped items are taken out of circulation and inventoried
· Report any instances of concern to F&B leadership including any items or equipment in need of repair
· Clean all dishes, glass wear, cutlery, buffet ware, pots and pans either by hand or by using an industrial dishwasher
· Ensure the kitchen & banquet Colleagues have the needed clean dishes, glass wear, cutlery, buffet ware pots and pans required to service our guests
· Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner
· Ensure items are removed from circulation that are no longer functional
· Ensure floors are being kept up with proper sweeping and mopping and clear of hazards and obstruction
· Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
· Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
· Previous experience is an asset
· Self-motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions
· Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
· Organized and a great team player
· Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
· Ability to work independently from a task list to complete list
Additional Information
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
· Constant standing and walking throughout shift
· Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
· Occasional kneeling, pushing and pulling
· Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
· Working in humid and hot environments
