Join our culinary team as a Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry in the vibrant city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to assist in creating exquisite pastries and desserts that delight our guests and showcase the best of international culinary trends.
· Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods
· Follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency and quality standards
· Collaborate with the pastry team to develop new and innovative dessert concepts
· Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of ingredients and finished products
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
· Assist in inventory management and ordering of pastry supplies
· Train and mentor junior pastry staff members
· Participate in menu planning and development meetings
· Adapt recipes to accommodate various dietary restrictions and allergies
· Contribute to the overall success of the pastry department by maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
Qualifications
· Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a professional kitchen
· Strong knowledge of pastry preparation techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation
· Proficiency in using various pastry equipment and tools
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
· Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and presentation
· Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
· Understanding of various dietary restrictions and food allergies
· Familiarity with international pastry trends and techniques
· Culinary degree or diploma with a focus on pastry arts is preferred
· Current food safety certification
· Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
· Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
· Adaptability to work in a multicultural environment, typical of Dubai's hospitality industry
