Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain contact, conduct negotiations, and hold meetings with clients of Novotel Budapest City & BCC, including representatives of client companies, agencies, and offices.
· Perform active sales activities to expand the partner network of Novotel Budapest City & BCC and promote conference and hotel services, including conducting site inspections and presenting meeting rooms, catering, and hotel facilities.
· Prepare proposals for Novotel Budapest City & BCC MICE services for conferences, congresses, exhibitions, banquets, product launches, corporate events, concerts and other events, with or without accommodation.
· Draft and prepare cooperation agreements for signature.
· Handle reservation-related tasks for MICE segment orders, including taking, registering, and confirming event bookings.
· Forward signed contracts and event schedules to the Banquet department and communicate relevant event information to all affected hotel departments. Actively participate in weekly Banquet meetings.
· Issue advance invoices according to the terms specified in signed cooperation agreements and notify the Finance department of the issued invoices. Monitor received advance payments.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
· Business-level proficiency in English
· User-level knowledge of MS Office applications and sales/reservation software
· Proactive sales mindset
· Guest- and quality-oriented approach to work
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; open and approachable personality
· Ability to work independently, dynamically, and with precision
EDUCATION:
· Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field
RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales-related role
ADVANTAGEOUS FOR THE POSITION:
· Knowledge of Opera hotel software
