Mercure & ibis London Earls Court and Barnaby’s Restaurant & Bar provide guests with a warm welcome, spacious and comfortable accommodation with breath-taking views of the London skyline currently in the exciting process of a refurbishment with the aim to shift our hotel to a four-star hotel and new branding. Our new goal is to find the right candidates to be part of this amazing project to help us during the evolution to become a modern, stylish and innovative 12-storey hotel. The hotel is about to undergo a very unique project resulting in a dual branding stylish and modern hotel with a combination of 3* and 4* product.

Job Description
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties
· Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel
· Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
· Order necessary foods according to proposed business demands. Consult with the Executive Chef for guidance and authorisation of order.
· Liaise with Restaurant employees regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes.
· Works with and coordinate the work of apprentices in the preparation and production of food as required.
· Prepare and ensure availability of mise en place as required.
· Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned. Report any problems to the Executive Chef.
· Assist and liaise with the chef on duty as required.
Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment
· Ensure that the workplace remains clean and the safety of consumable goods by always respecting HACCP regulations
· Respect the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment used
· Apply the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc)
· Respect the hotel's commitments to the "Environmental Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc)
Customer Relations
· Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all guests.
· Lead by example when attending to guest requests. Show efficiency in constantly striving to provide Total Customer Satisfaction.
· Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers (internal or external) are positive and productive, call the Manager on Duty if difficulties arise.
· Work together with trust so that colleagues and management meet the goals of the department/Hotel.
· Treat customers and colleagues from all cultural groups with respect, sensitivity and transparency.
· Take every opportunity to be a “salesperson” by active selling of special promotions and facilities available within the Hotel.
· Implement the Accor values and Accor customer vision to ‘Offer the Best Service to Our Customers’.
