Key tasks

Objective: To assist with the setting up and servicing of meeting rooms, at all times being helpful and polite to guests. This position is suitable for an applicant with Food and Beverage background or interest and to stepping into the Conference Operation. Conference Porter must follow the hotel grooming standard at all times and maintain an excellent level of communication with F&B Team as well as Conference and Events Sales Team. Occasionally assist Bar and Restaurant with Breakfast operation, polishing glasses and taking room service trays to the bedrooms, carry out tray collections.

Essential and optional requirements

Duties: To set up or reset meeting rooms as required each day.
To move bottled water, deliveries of heavy items goods as required such as boxes but also duties include carry chairs and move tables inside the meeting rooms.
Hosting Conference Breaks such as serving hot food, replenish bottled water, remove dirty glasses, cups, refill conference break buffet.
Skills required: multitasking, good communicator, excellent organisational skills, can do attitude, flexible, professional approach, friendly, customer focused, willing to learn and exceed customer expectations, team player, positive personality.
