Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis II to join our culinary team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Commis II, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

·  Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and chef specifications
·  Organize and maintain cleanliness in the assigned work area
·  Operate various kitchen equipment, including braising pans, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
·  Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food items
·  Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production
·  Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards in all kitchen activities
·  Support senior kitchen staff in daily operations and special culinary events
·  Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
·  Contribute to menu development and implementation of new dishes
·  Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service periods

Qualifications

·  High school diploma or equivalent; culinary diploma preferred
·  1-2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen or full-service hotel
·  Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods
·  Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
·  Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
·  Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems
·  Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
·  Excellent communication and teamwork skills
·  Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
·  Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
·  Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
