Job Description
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Chinese cuisine, expertise in preparing traditional and contemporary dishes, and a strong ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently:
1. Menu Planning & Development
• Assist in designing new menu items that showcase the richness of Chinese cuisine.
• Ensure cost-effective and seasonal menu selections.
2. Supervise Kitchen Staff
• Train and lead kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards.
• Ensure smooth kitchen operations and teamwork.
3. Inventory & Quality Control
• Manage ingredient inventory, food storage, and portion control.
• Monitor food quality and implement improvements when necessary.
4. Health & Safety Compliance
• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or in a similar culinary role.
• Strong expertise in Chinese cooking techniques and regional cuisine.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced kitchen and multiple tasks.
• Leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Passion for food quality and innovation.
• Open-minded and flexible leadership to manage a diverse kitchen team.
• Ability to drive traditional Chinese cuisine while adapting to modern culinary trends.
• Experience managing a multifaceted kitchen team that handles breakfast, all-day dining, and other food options, with a primary focus on Chinese cuisine.
