Job Description

Our new Breakfast Demi Chef will:

·  Assist the chef in charge to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.
·  Prepare mise en place for all relevant menus.
·  Ensure consistent great food production, in line with the high quality standards set by the hotel.
·  Ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and according to standard
·  Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, and assist with ordering necessary food items.
·  Comply with all WHS, food safety legislation.
·  Provide a courteous and professional service and ensure that guest feedback are actioned and communicated to the team

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must:

·  Have at least 1 year work experience as a Demi Chef working in a hotel or restaurant with high food quality standards
·  Have the ability to operate various kitchen equipment and practice sound cooking techniques.
·  Completion of Chef Apprenticeship or has a Certificate in commercial cookery
·  Good food hygiene and safety knowledge, including safe and accurate knife skills
·  Knowledge and experience in a variety of different cooking methods
·  Be available to work varied shifts including, early morning, weekends and public holidays.
·  Have the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
