Job Description
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Bell Captain to join our team in Mumbai, India. The ideal candidate will lead our bell desk, valet, transportation, and airport operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences through efficient and organized service delivery.
· Supervise and coordinate bell desk, valet, transportation, and airport operations
· Train and mentor bell service staff to perform their duties with maximum efficiency
· Ensure timely and courteous completion of guest deliveries and requests
· Maintain accurate records of all deliveries and guest interactions
· Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and public spaces
· Coordinate guest transportation needs with our transportation and airport team
· Assist with inquiries about hotel amenities and local attractions
· Implement and enforce department policies, procedures, and service standards
· Schedule weekly bell desk staff operations and breaks
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
· Proactively market and upsell hotel rooms, facilities, and amenities
· Monitor and maintain a safe working environment for staff and guests
· Manage lost and found items according to hotel procedures
· Adapt to changing priorities and make decisive actions to resolve guest concerns
Qualifications
· Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in the hospitality or customer service industry
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
· Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
· Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Knowledge of Opera Property Management System is preferred
· Familiarity with Mumbai's local attractions and transportation systems
· Valid driver's license for coordinating valet and transportation services
· Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with luggage handling
· Ability to remain calm and courteous while focusing on guest needs in high-pressure situations
· Thorough understanding of hospitality industry standards and best practices
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
