Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Assistant Reservation Manager to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our reservations department, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, optimizing inventory, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
· Assist in managing the daily operations of the reservations department
· Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Management, and Marketing teams to develop and implement new packages and rates
· Oversee the training and development of Reservation Agents
· Monitor and balance guestroom inventory, addressing capacity challenges and finding solutions
· Handle guest inquiries and complaints related to reservations
· Assist in creating and managing department incentive programs
· Support the scheduling and payroll processes for the reservations team
· Conduct regular team meetings to ensure effective communication
· Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of reservations staff
· Analyze sales reports and provide insights to optimize reservation strategies
· Stay updated on local tourism trends and adjust reservation strategies accordingly
· Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications
· Previous leadership experience in a hotel environment, preferably in reservations
· Strong working knowledge of Opera Property Manager System (PMS)
· Familiarity with Central Reservation Systems (CRS)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel
· Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
· Knowledge of revenue management principles
· Familiarity with local tourism and hospitality trends in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
· High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
· Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
