SEO Strategist
Boomerang's SEO Strategist will be responsible for the creation, implementation, and management of SEO efforts across the portfolio of accounts. Responsibilities include but not limited to audits, content creation, meta tag implementation, schema markup and tag management.
The role will report into the SEO Lead and be part of the Digital Marketing team. Will also have interactions with Account and Project Management teams both locally and globally. The role is in NYC or Northern New Jersey and focused on Life Sciences accounts.
Responsibilities
• Manage and implement scheduled technical audits across clients' portfolio sites within Life Science vertical
• Oversee planning and execution of SEO initiatives, providing guidance on headlines, keyword usage, meta tags, URL structure, and keyword research & analysis.
• Manage expectations with internal/external teams to ensure project deliverables are met within timelines, including ad hoc requests
• Provide insights and recommendations on the performance/effectiveness of SEO tactics and KPIs – including keyword rankings, traffic, and ROI
• Assist in data management, tag implementation/management, and reporting as needed
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
• A minimum of 2 years' tactical experience in Search Engine Optimization to include:
• Technical SEO (Site architecture, URL structure, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, dynamic/static pages, etc.),
• On-Page Optimization (Metadata, Headings, Content, Anchor Links, Navigation, etc.),
• Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console & Bing Webmaster Tools, and various Keyword Research tools.
• Experience working in HTML, CSS and code structure
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, with an understanding of Google Data Studio and Google Tag Manager
• Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical teams (internally and externally)
Preferred Qualifications
• Agency experience
• Experience working cross channel with Paid Search or Display.
• Coding; HTML, JavaScript, CSS
• Conductor, Brightedge, Search Metrics or any enterprise level SEO platform
Professional Qualifications
• Ability to self multi-task and prioritize
• Aptitude to think strategically and act tactically
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
