Job Summary :
The person hired for the position of Shopper Marketer – Digital Media is responsible for partnering with and collaborating with our internal integrated marketing, shopper, sales and eCommerce teams to support the development, presentation and reporting of the shopper marketing paid digital media activations. These activations will include onsite retailer media activation, and offsite activations in support of overall marketing efforts. In addition, they will be responsible for ongoing capability building for the Consumer Business Group Shopper and Sales teams, brand communications teams, as well as 3M at large, within their area of expertise.
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Overarching shopper digital media and attribution strategy (planning and activation across all retailer digital paid media touchpoints including search, display, video etc. on and off property)
· Annual upfront retailer media contract negotiation
· Collaborates with internal and external teams to develop comprehensive lower funnel activations that connect to upper funnel brand strategies.
· External vendor evaluation with regard to paid digital media shopper marketing programs
· Day to day contact with regard to shopper media for all internal brand stakeholders
· Day to day vendor and agency management
· Create process for global replication of paid digital shopper media strategy
· Act as internal subject matter expert with regard to paid digital shopper media, client facing with all Consumer Business Group brands.
· Industry trend reporting with regard to shopper paid digital media and retailer paid digital media capabilities.
· Manage campaign and reporting calendar
Basic Qualifications:
· Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
· Minimumof five (5) years of combined experience in digital media buying and/or planning in a private, public, government or military environment
· Minimumof two (2) years of combined experience with buying and/or planning direct response, paid shopper media.
· Minimumof two (2) years of experience in a client facing role
Preferred Qualifications:
· MBA preferred
· Knowledge of digital + traditional media ecosystem (TV, Print, Radio, OOH)
· Experience with dynamic creative optimization tools
· Ability to translate a clear business strategy in to a media strategy, while illustrating media’s role in achieving business objectives
· Identify the best mix of media channels to deliver the key message to the brands’ target consumer
· Strong negotiation skills
· Motivated Self Starter
· Understanding of digital ecosystem (inventory, data, technology).
· Plays well with others on a larger team and ability to have fun
· Clear and concise communication skills
· Deep understanding of retailer media ecosystem (i.e. Walmart.com, target.com, etc.)
· Proven results in a paid media shopper marketing role, with demonstrated outcomes based on media mix and attribution methods
