Collections Officer P2PS
P2PS Limited is a company established in 2009 to recover debts that were originally created via Zopa’s peer-to-peer lending platform. It is structured as a not-for-profit organisation which aims to minimise the costs associated with the recovery of debts.
Purpose of the Job
To provide collections and administrative support to the litigation manager and ensure that the company maximises the recovery of their bad debt portfolio. There will be opportunity for the expansion and development of this role for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
This is a full time position for a loan servicing company based in central London. Reporting directly to the Litigation Manager you will assist in the affective servicing of the companies unsecured bad debt portfolio, with specific focus on their pre litigation cases. This will involve:
- Making outbound calls chasing payments on defaulted arrangements and other defaulting accounts.
- Receiving inbound calls and negotiating payment of debts.
- Recording and responding to customer and third party emails, as well as other general administrative support.
Skills required
- Dynamic and flexible approach to work and dealing with people.
- Familiar with TCF, data protection and anti-money laundering procedure.
- Minimum six month previous experience within debt recovery/collections role.
- A confident communicator with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify & solve problems and provide solutions and think on their feet.
- Excellent negotiation and skills Self-motivated Microsoft office skills (Outlook, Word and Excel).
