Job Summary: The Water Jet Operator produces a range of aerospace components, used in a variety of applications in Zodiac’s Interiors and Structures departments, according to current production schedules.

Summary of Duties :

· Operate the FLOW water jet cutting facility in accordance with applicable operating instructions and Safety rules. This includes loading and executing CNC cutting programs in accordance with the Manufacturing Orders for the products to be produced.
· Complete required paperwork in accordance with Quality Systems procedures to ensure full traceability of all work completed
· Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards to ensure a safe, clean and well organized work space
· Perform basic daily machine maintenance checks where required
· Participate in trials and continuous improvement activities when required

Minimum Qualifications:

·
Education: high school diploma or equivalent preferred

·
Experience with CNC controlled cutting machines, ideally on waterjet cutting facilities, preferred but not essential as training is provided

·
Aerospace industry experience preferred but not essential

·
Proficient with Microsoft Office and email programs - able to open, read and make basic data entries in Microsoft Excel files (production schedules)

·
Able to read, write and verbally communicate in English

·
Reading and interpretation of basic 2D drawings is a plus

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

· Standing, sitting and walking throughout the workday
· Work will be done in a production shop environment which may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes and carbon fiber
· Possible skin and inhaled contact with various sealants, paints, adhesives or other chemicals.
· Proper PPE is defined and required for specific work area.
· Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the company and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.
