Job description

Safran Aerosystems is a world leader in aircraft electrical distribution, inflatable safety and water and waste management systems. It is also a major supplier of oxygen systems, telemetry and communication solutions, in-flight entertainment systems or fuel systems.
Recommend processes and workplace safety measures to reduce employees’ exposure to physical, chemical and biological work hazards. Ensure compliance with all state and federal safety regulations and permit requirements. Investigate accidents and injuries to determine causes and preventive measures. Report findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections and environmental testing. Participate in job safety assessments and other elements of safety. Review and revise safety plans. Prioritize major hazards and risks, and take action to mitigate or eliminate risks. Lead environmental, health and safety performance improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with air, water and waste regulations. Prepare permit applications. Initiate, monitor and track data collection on air and water emission data. Create reports and perform audits to ensure environmental, health and safety compliance.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management or Engineering (any field). In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, will accept any combination of degrees, diplomas, and/or experience determined equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree by a professional credential evaluation service. Must also have experience developing safety plans, leading assessments and ensuring health and safety compliance using MATLAB, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
