OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
Under indirect supervision, applies systems analysis and design techniques to complex computer systems with multiple users, or to complex one-user systems, to produce innovative solutions for a variety of complex problems. Gathers information from users, defines work problems, and plans projects to enable analysts and programmers to develop required systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
A) Research, design, develop and test operating systems-level software and network distribution software for aerospace and business computing applications
B) Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
C) Debug existing software and correct defects
D) Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
E) Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
F) Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
G) Review and implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
H) Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
I) Write or review software and system documentation
J) Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or application specialist; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
K) Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
L) Design or implement database or data repository interfaces/queries
M) Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in a mathematic, scientific, computer engineering, or information technology field of study plus 3 years related work experience that must include 2 years experience working with Infor XA ERP software MAPICS and modules to include PowerLink, Intersite Logistics, ThruPut and MRP. Requires speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English. Experience may be gained concurrently.
