Job Description ASIC Program Manager / Technical SpecialistWithin TRW Global Electronics Engineering – Semiconductor Core Development team,  responsibilities for an engineering program manager includes key focus on the development of Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) and Application Specific Standard Products (ASSP) for the Braking and Passive Safety product lines including Electronic Stability Control and Airbag Control Systems. Coordinating all activities with ASIC technical lead to ensure successful delivery of ASICs in support of core and application developments. Maintaining overall program timing and deliverables for development activities internally and at suppliers and acting as an interface to other teams.  Activities include functional verification of ASICs including development of test requirements, testing and test oversight; validating that ASICs meet the functional safety requirements of ISO 26262; developing and maintaining functional requirements and behavioral models of critical functions within ASICs; Obtaining appropriate level of support from core and application module engineers to ensure proper integration and verification of the ASIC within the ECU; Interacting with ASIC supplier design, quality, and manufacturing organizations to resolve issues, confirm specification compliance, support introduction of ASICs through safe launch activities, and support device returns analysis; Support in implementing and maintaining a world class ASIC development process for TRW. QualificationsMinimum of five years of mixed signal ASIC development/ design and/or automotive electronic design experience; Knowledge of the functional safety standard ISO 26262 and its practical application in product development. Highly motivated and able to work with little direct oversight in a collaborative environment; Strong program management and excellent communication/networking skills; Experience managing external activities (e.g. subcontractors for development and verification work) desired. EducationMinimum BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with MS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
