In this challenging position you will help to ensure a flawless execution of global inbound transports to support the overall Supply Chain purpose of on-time in-full delivery of all zLabels products to the Zalando Fashion Store, own managed sales channels and wholesale customers.

The Manager Transportation Oversea is responsible for timely and flawless execution of booking, consolidation and shipping for the ship modes Sea, Rail and Air freight.

YOUR CHALLENGES:

As a Transport Manager, your task will be to do operative management of third-party logistics companies (3PLs) to execute the transport logistics service for the modes Sea, Rail and Air. You will release transport bookings and manage exceptions together with suppliers, logistics partners and zLabels departments.

You will also ensure cargo is shipped within agreed SLAs and resolve potential operational bottlenecks. Together with the creation and enhancement of internal forecasts (i.e. shipping volume, container customs clearance).

You will analyse data, spot weaknesses and address issues based on facts. On monthly basis you will run KPI review meetings and participate in seasonal logistics reviews. You are a champion in handling transport documents and ensure their accuracy.

YOUR PROFILE:

You are proud of your university degree in Business Administration or Logistics or an apprenticeship in a global logistics company. Along with that, you have minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in global transportation (Logistics department, third-party logistics etc.) and set high standards in terms of process quality and accuracy.

You always put the customer first and you are willing to go the extra mile to fulfill their demands. The experience in the fashion industry is a plus.

You are an experienced user of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and proficient with standard ERP-Systems. Next to these abilities you are proactive and friendly in both internal and external ways of communication. Therefore presenting and communicating in English fluently is not an issue for you. Speaking German is a plus. 

As a person you remain calm in every situation and keep your focus high. Finally you are willing and able to travel if required.
