THE OPPORTUNITY

The Enterprise Systems Management department is responsible for Software Evaluation and Implementation Projects as well as for Software Procurement and Asset Management. As part of the team, you will work on various interesting projects as a Software Asset and License Manager. You develop visions, strategies and processes for Zalando’s software asset management to ensure its ongoing performance and sustainability.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

·  You have an apprenticeship as an IT businessman and over 2 years of relevant experience and/or a university degree in informatics, economics, or similar fields
·  You have profound knowledge of more than one of the relevant fields listed below
·  You take responsibility for your tasks and you can work independently and in a structured manner
·  You get excited by technology and you easily find yourself on top of innovation
·  You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in German and English

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

·  You are the single point of contact for the Technology departments within Zalando regarding software licensing topics
·  You develop, implement and optimize the processes of software asset management
·  You regularly review the license data within our license management system to ensure an optimized and compliant usage of any 3rd party software
·  You identify potential optimization of software licenses, framework contracts, maintenance contracts and you organize the necessary negotiations
·  You take care of audits and you act as the contact person for software manufacturers
·  You coordinate the rollout of the software in close cooperation with further Technology departments
·  You analyze contracts and license agreements to ensure a high quality of decision making
·  You support team leads improving the budget planning and cost controlling
