The opportunity

You will facilitate learning, organize and execute our onboarding program within the Technology department.  This role is part of the Onboarding Team, which provides functional, cultural and technical onboarding for dozens of new colleagues every month. During our 4-week program, our team caters mostly to software engineers, data scientists and product managers from all Zalando locations.

Your responsibilities

·  Maintain end-to-end ownership and responsibility over Technology onboarding process (from written agreement to joining designated team of the new hire)
·  Act as a general mentor for our new hires, providing overall guidance to finding their way within the company, and ensuring they are prepared for a successful start within their designated teams
·  Measure and improve success based on KPI's
·  Coordinate between all involved internal stakeholders including organizing and assisting roles (Team Assistants, Relocation Managers, Internal IT Dispatchers etc.)
·  Facilitate matchmaking between new hires and their future teams
·  Act as a cultural ambassador for new hires

What we are looking for

·  A passion for people and their professional development.
·  First experience in an international and multicultural environment, ideally in a technology company or technical learning institution.
·  Great understanding of technology processes and tools
·  Tech savviness and experience in coaching or mentoring considered a big asset.
·  Excellent English skills
·  Organizational skills
·  Pro-active problem solver
·  Detail oriented
