The Zalando Operations business unit combines customer care, logistics, content creation and payment for all international Zalando shops. Zalando Logistics is responsible for all logistics and stands for the fast and uncomplicated delivery of the Zalando products. In our logistics centers throughout the Germany, dispatch workers, logistics specialists, process managers and personnel and IT specialists work.

Together we make sure that everything runs smoothly and quickly to support our  15 European Zalando “country shops” , multiple logistics and returns centres.

The Merchant Supply Chain Management team ensures operational excellence in all Merchant Business related topics. As a Merchant Operations Management Specialist, you will be responsible of managing all operational, commercial and trading activities to optimize the merchants’ retail performance on the Fashion Store.

Merchant Operations plays a major role in Zalando’s growth strategy and we are building a great team to reach our ambitious goals.

YOUR CHALLENGE

·  You will be responsible of onboarding merchants’ articles by liaising with the Content Creation and the Partner Solution Key Account Management teams
·  You will align with Categories to allocate the required resources and prioritize the production of articles’ content
·  You will provide weekly insights on merchants’ content creation performance
·  You will implement categories’ trading strategy for our merchants’ assortment and take the required actions, including up and down sorting articles
·  You will ensure that merchants’ assortment meet the seasonality requirements and specificities
·  You will monitor merchants’ articles lifecycle and provide the right inputs to optimize it
·  You will track the staleness of merchants’ inventory
·  You will support merchants with their merchandising activities
·  You will collaborate with the Merchant Operations Convenience team to enforce the consequences of our Merchant Incentive System
·  You will collaborate on Operations Management improvement projects to create value for both Merchants and Zalando

  WHAT YOU'VE GOT

·  You have completed a business or comparable degree
·  You have a strong academic track record and/or references and have a least 2 years of experience in a similar role
·  You have excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of retail and/or e-commerce
·  You can handle multiple tasks at the same time and can prioritize your work properly
·  You have good communication skills and are well organized
·  You are self-driven, results-oriented and enjoy working independently
·  You have advanced MS Office (particularly Excel) skills
·  You are a team player
·  You are business fluent in English
