The pricing and forecasting team is an essential team at the critical interface between Category Management, Purchasing and Sales. For our 15 countries, we define the right price levels, promotional offers and many other price-related aspects to achieve the highest possible long-term customer satisfaction, growth and profitability. We do so in close collaboration with Category Management and the Sales Organization. Partnerships happen with all key engineering, product, business and customer experience teams. We are looking for a Junior Frontend Developer to work on a broad set of user interfaces to assist the consolidation of business pricing requirements, while enabling Zalando to deliver our customers the right price online at the right time.
As a Frontend Developer in Zalando - pricing and forecasting team, you’ll bring in-depth knowledge of web based design and development into our Pricing teams. You will have the opportunity to design and implement internal facing frontend applications to support a data driven competence center optimising commercial pricing decisions for a large-scale
e-commerce company. You will challenge our status quo, drive innovation and agile
best practices.

YOUR ROLE

• You will be directly responsible for developing and improving our existing pricing frontends and database interactions, in-line with the team's business needs
• You will develop a pricing dashboard and reporting system to allow transparency of pricing processes and output data for pricing stakeholders
• You will work as part of a team to deliver a comprehensive and fully integrated pricing toolkit to enable the realisation of the company’s pricing strategy

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You have acquired 1-2 years of practical coding and Product Developer experience
• Applicable knowledge of frontend programming languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and relevant framework e.g React or AngularJS)

• You preferably have experience working in Python scripting language and frameworks (Django or Flask), SQL, and a familiarity of PHP is a bonus
• You are a team player with a proven end-user focus and problem-solving mindset
• You have an autonomous and results-oriented working style
• You are business fluent in English
