As a Buyer (m/f) in our Women´s Accessories category, you´ll realize buying processes for one customer segment, starting from selecting the assortment to the details of the contracts. You´ll keep an eye on all relevant key data and decide when which products are bought at which price. You will have to spot new trends while keeping the business side in mind. Last, you’re part of a high performing team, creating new and innovative ways to connect people and fashion.

We want you to aim high and there's no time to lose: we're offering a permanent position to start immediately in our Women´s Accessories team as a Buying Manager in Berlin Friedrichshain.

 

YOU ARE SETTING STANDARDS

Trend Scouting . The Accessories Fashion Team is passionate about fashion and lifestyle and is looking for a market, with a European view of the latest trends.

Product: Collection building and the implementation of profitable products within the Accessories range is your task. You will be the driver to push the brand forward by always challenging the status quo in terms of product and price offer.

Partnership . You will be responsible for the creative direction of your collection, sourcing new suppliers, negotiating the best terms for Zalando whilst you keep our existing suppliers happy.

Numbers: You know your KPIs and will constantly analyse sales reactions and react quickly to market needs by trading within season.

Communication. Constant exchange with other departments like Logistics, Content and Photo production, Onsite Management and Marketing are key to your work, ensuring that we act in line with the whole organization. You will work cross functionally to drive sales and maximize profit.

YOU ARE SKILLED

Experience. You gathered 2-3 years professional experience in branded buying or related fields, ideally in women Accessories and have an extraordinary sense for trends  

Negotiation. Negotiation is in your blood, and you are always a compelling figure when communicating with suppliers and other stakeholders. You have mastered both written and spoken negotiations in English beautifully.

Analytics. Your excellent analytical skills put you on top of the class and you just love working with numbers. You can use Excel and the MS Office package in your sleep.

Approach. Your work showcases your quick thinking and proactive attitude, which also means you keep on top of things in a fast-paced environment.

Teamwork. You love keeping in close touch with colleagues and partners, and you stay cool, calm and collected even when the going gets tough
