zLabels is Zalando’s fashion subsidiary. Located in the heart of Berlin, we develop fashion brands handling every step in the product lifecycle from initial design right through to distribution. When designing for new labels we draw inspiration from haute couture collections and young unconventional designers. We have a wide range of fashion labels and brands: from sporty men’s fashion to refined women’s wear up to modern kids shoe collections. Some of our brands and labels like mint&berry, Zign and Twintip have become extremely successful during the last few years, establishing ourselves as a professional fashion company. We plan to continue and build upon this success in the future.

Your Challenge

·  As an Intern you are a part in our Fitting sessions
·  In supporting your team, you'll prove your skills by measuring and making sure workmanship is according to our standards
·  You'll provide support within the whole product development team and take on your own projects
·  Focusing on our service and quality objectives, you'll control the quality of incoming goods
·  As an important contact you'll support the team by communicating with foreign suppliers
·  You'll carry out wash tests independently and evaluate them
·  You'll be responsible to prepare worksheets and update them
·  You gain an insight in the fast moving fashion world in one of zLabels most successful brands and will develop an understanding of the process from a design idea to bringing an article online

What you have got

·  You are currently enrolled as a student in Garment Technology or in a related course
·  MS Office is part of your daily routine and you also have basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator / Indesign
·  You are a team player who is able to work under pressure, flexible and eager to learn
·  As part of an international team, you know English back to front
·  Ideally you have already gained relevant experience through previous internships in Garment Technology
·  You and your team always pull in the same direction
·  You quickly find your feet with new tasks
