INTERN (m/f)- UI/UX DESIGNER FOR MOBILE APP VENTURE

Job description

As an UX Designer Intern for one of our new customer facing applications, you will join our product development team to help us shape and execute upon our user experience vision for a local fashion app whose vision is to bring online and offline fashion into one. This is your chance to work start-up style (quickly, with a high degree of responsibility, in a product team where formal roles are less important than individual competencies) backed by the security and resources of a wildly successful parent company. The internship is paid!

Your responsibilities

· Identify real user needs in a new business space in close collaboration with product managers and creating beautiful mobile interfaces
· Ideate customer-centered solutions from an app-first perspective: model workflows, create wireframes and/or low-fidelity prototypes, validate your solutions with research, coordinate the visual design, and work with developers early and often to implement best-in-class interfaces
· Collaborate closely with product managers, developers and other stakeholders through the entire product lifecycle
· Align closely with the other UX teams at Zalando in order to tap synergies, spread innovation and avoid reinventing the wheel

What we are looking for

· An enrolled student in Berlin or Potsdam majoring in a related discipline such as interaction design, human factors, psychology, or similar course of studies
· First experiences with design mobile eCommerce from start to finish with a view across all customer touchpoints
· Good communication skills with a results-oriented approach to what you do
· Creative thinkers who value accountability, goal-setting and focusing on solutions instead of problems
· A self-motivated, proactive and positive attitude
