As a member of Zalando's  the Studio , you work with a multidisciplinary team to explore the edges of the fashion ecosystem to design new compelling fashion experiences. By decoding users’, brands’ and internal stakeholders’ needs, and through prototyping we bring these visions to reality,  test them and ultimately connect the future with the present.

You will impact a wide variety of products -- from startup ventures to B2B solutions -- in addition to Europe’s largest fashion portal. We’re rooted in the product design organization but collaborate with teams across the company.

YOU ARE SETTING STANDARDS

As a Creative Technologist, you’ll translate user needs into new product concepts. You’ll create tangible artifacts to test and communicate emerging ideas, concepts and product visions.

Vision. Create a point of view and understanding about our users. To ultimately develop together with the rest of the team new and compelling product visions that address real user problems.

Pragmatic. You focus on problems and not process, and your can-do attitude brings solutions alive.

Tangible. You give ideas concrete form by building low- and high-fidelity prototypes.

Ambassador. Spread our design lead approach and effectively communicate to other stakeholders our vision using data and evidence.

YOU ARE SKILLED

To land this job you will show and explain raw artifacts from various stages of the design process. Ideally you have gained experience with the following approaches:

Prototyping. Building quick and dirty prototypes to showcase different steps of a user flow. You may have experience with Keynote, Marvel or Paper Prototyping.

Motion Design. Creating artifacts that showcase how motion is used to guide users through different stages of an interface. You have experience using tools like Principle or Framer JS.

Coding. You help the rest of the team to understand how an experience might scale in using live data. Build the bridge between designers and engineers with the fluent codebase of HTML, CSS, and JS with one of the latest frameworks such as React and Angular. Are you familiar with your daily work with Arduino, Raspberry Pi or Unity? Great! Even better!

Collaboration. Your communication skills help you to succeed in your daily work with multidisciplinary international teams to develop new compelling product concepts. Empathy enriches your relationship with users as well as internal stakeholders.
