Job description

You, Me & Anxiety's aim is to create a community that tackles the stigma of mental health and helps people realise they're not alone in their struggles.

The concept is simple. We need writers to submit stories regarding their mental health. These stories can range from serious episodes of depression to a time you just felt a little nervous.

The aim is to make the stories light-hearted and fun to read. There are many forums out there focusing on mental health but from our experience, they can be quite bleak. You, Me & Anxiety will hopefully counter this and provide a more uplifting community, with each post including a 'What I learnt from this experience' section.

Unfortunately, this will be an unpaid position for now and remote. However, your blogs will act as a portfolio for future work and I will be more than happy to provide references as well as aiding you in your writing careers.

As a writer myself, I understand the frustration finding paid work if you are a student or recent grad. Although, I can assure you that the larger your portfolio, the more paid work you will receive (I started out writing for a range of publications voluntarily).

Blogs can be written on an as and when basis, whether you'd like to be a regular contributor or a one-off. You are also welcome to write anonymously or use your full name.

Please check out the website and the current blogs for ideas on format, style etc, www.youmeandanxiety.co.uk.

In the future we hope to create podcasts and animations for each blog post, so if you have any interest in these platforms, feel free to mention so!

Desired profile

No major qualifications needed, just an interest in writing and a passion for mental health.

Make every future a success.
