LAMP, PHP, MySQL Software Developer
£25,000 to £32,000 depending on experience
Edinburgh

The Opportunity
Our client is a leading PHP LAMP Software House with an international client base – they are renowned as a top employer who promote from within and help develop and support their staff. They have a large technical team and strong growth plans for the future.

They are looking to recruit a Mid-weight to Senior LAMP PHP OO developer to work on 90% New Product Development with little technical debt.

The Role
The role will be to work on existing PHP sites and LAMP web applications undertaking a complete new build of the existing system with some bug fixing, support and maintenance duties using OO PHP but its mainly NPD in LAMP PHP for new build projects.

You will need solid appreciation for OO Programming in PHP, understanding of MySQL Databases and Schemas and good communication skills.

The LAMP Developer should have a good understanding of Linux OS, Apache web servers, MySQL and PHP in order to offer an end to end solution to their client base.

Skills / Experience
LAMP Stack Web Development
OO PHP Development
MySQL Database Design, Development, Build
Web API, SOAP Web Services and XML
Web Technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript  
Java but willing to cross train

The LAMP PHP Developer will ideally have computer science degree or proven development experience in either PHP or Java.

Any experience of MySQL,  MVC frameworks, ORM Tools and enterprise development would be advantageous. OO PHP Developer with all the skills to build scalable applications.

You will work in a team of PHP Developer who get on, have fun but understand the importance of the LAMP PHP applications they are building for their clients.
