Job description
You will collaborate with UX Designers, UI Engineers,
Engineers, Business Analysts, zProduct Owners and other stakeholders to
translate formative design concepts, wireframes or other inputs into clickable,
quality HTML prototypes that align with corporate UX and branding standards.
The clickable prototypes you create will be used for user testing in a
formative and iterative design process, as well as for input into development.
You will openly collaborate with both UX Designers and Engineering to ensure prototypes
support requirements and work within technical constraints, then help to see
those designs through the development process.
Working within both a User-Centered Design (UCD) and
an Agile SDLC, the successful candidate has solid communication skills and is
able to openly collaborate in learning about our users, as well as working with
Scrum teams to usher designs through the development process.
The successful candidate must be able to openly
collaborate both remotely and locally. Work with UX team in learning about our
users, understanding their goals with our solutions. Plus, have the technical
expertise to collaborate with Engineering. This is not an openly creative role,
you are comfortable and thrive in designing for enterprise software and aligning
your work with corporate UX and brand standards. You have the ability to
provide medium to high fidelity web design.
The Role
· You
provide the critical connection between formative user experience designs and
implementation of those designs by Engineering.
· You create HTML, CSS, JavaScript
clickable prototypes that are in line with established and evolving Corporate
Standards utilizing Bootstrap and similar technologies.
· At your core, you are a web designer
that has a functional design focus and is comfortable designing within and
utilizing corporate UX and brand standards.
· As a member of the UX team, you will
work with a UX Lead and other UX designers in ensuring web applications support
user’s tasks and workflows.
· Conceptualize and build web applications
from wireframes using HTML, CSS, Javascript, Jquery, Bootstrap, and similar
technologies.
· Ability to debug and quality check the
display of the UI (HTML, CSS) across different browsers.·
· Ensuring consistency of created UIs
across different products.
· Ability to debug and quality check the
display of the UI (HTML, CSS) across different browsers.
· You bring creativity working with an
established and evolving corporate visual design language.
· Familiarity and comfortable working with
other designers and stakeholders within an Agile and User-Centered Design SDLC.
· Strong understanding
of web design principles, use of typography, color and page layouts, with a
great eye for detail.
The Requirements:
· 3-5 years of web or application design experience, including software as a service applications. Coding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap or similar.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience working with User Centered Design and Agile.
· Experience with cross-browser compatibility issues and resolutions.
· Demonstrable experience in designing responsive web applications.
· Experience implementing accessibility in web applications.
· Demonstrable ability to work on virtual teams and collaborate remotely as well as locally.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to balance multiple priorities with acute attention to details.
· Experience working in an Agile Scrum team environment.
· Bachelor’s degree graphic design, web design or equivalent experience.
· Design portfolio with work samples of completed projects.
· Some travel required, including international.
