As a Product Manager you will use your expertise to craft and maintain a vision for our products. This vision will guide the organization’s planning and investing activities over the long term, and will ensure that the product continues to deliver value in the face of major changes. To succeed here, the Product Manager must maintain expert knowledge of the product; its competitors; the market and the overall domain in which the product lives. 

The Role

Product managers ensure that we deliver the promise of our brand and mission to our customers. The product manager serves as a champion of the customer: constantly seeking to understand customer and refining the product to meet them.
On a day-to-day basis, the product manager works with a team of designers, software developers, and quality assurance personnel to continually improve our products. To succeed, the product manager will seek out direct customer feedback, and will supplement this with feedback with input from internal experts and stakeholders. The product manager will continually specify and validate product enhancements with the team and help make decisions in the interests of the customer and the company.

Willis Towers Watson’s Individual Marketplace Product Team is looking for an experienced product manager to help us build the next generation of health insurance marketplace products. Candidates will need to draw from your technical knowledge, research abilities and problem-solving skills. Ultimately, the successful candidate will play a key role in creating software that helps our customers make critically important health care decisions with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

·  Become an expert in one or more Willis Towers Watson Individual Marketplace products (a portfolio of products); aim to be the undisputed expert at the company for products in the portfolio.
·  Stay in regular contact with customers/users to maintain an intimate understanding of their frustrations, needs, and problems.
·  Improve personal understanding of the domain in which our products operate through research into topics like market, competitive, regulatory, and economic factors; evangelize this information to the product development team(s) and stakeholders.
·  Share that understanding with members of product development team(s). 
·  Develop and champion a vision for certain products; ensure that the backlog of work items like new features, maintenance items, bugs and others reflect that vision.
·  Identify and foster new ideas to drive value to our customers/users.
·  Measure product KPIs and other sources of data to continuously monitor product health.
·  Conduct experiments, run surveys, do analysis, and other things necessary to understand relative priorities.
·  Develop tools to make priority decisions effectively; help product development team(s) make priority decisions and plan iterations. 
·  Document assets/requirements/evidence necessary for product development team(s) to be effective in delivering improvements to the products in the portfolio.
·  Create acceptance criteria and other assets to guide testing and validation; help product development team(s) make critical release decisions.
·  Coordinate with stakeholders to review, understand, and appreciate the work of the product development team(s) including iteration demos and presentations

The Requirements

·  3-5 years of product management experience with consumer web applications, mobile apps, enterprise software solutions or CRM software; health care or insurance related experience is preferred but not necessary.
·  Empathy for our customers, particularly older people, people with disabilities, and people suffering from illness or other adverse health conditions.
·  Proficiency with agile product development tools such as product canvases or charters, development roadmaps, story maps, impact maps, user models, and backlogs.
·  Experience with user research and data analysis techniques.
·  Hands on software development experience of some kind is preferred but not necessary.
·  Excellent attention to detail.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·  Excellent presentation skills; an ability to concisely communicate key issues/results in a manner appropriate to a wide range of audiences, including executives and clients.
·  Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams with project management, stakeholders, design, engineering, and QA staff.
·  Ability to collaborate, negotiate, and build productive relationships; ability to create alignment with both internal and external stakeholders.
·  Experience in establishing, managing and maintaining ecommerce technology.
·  Experience with Jira, Sketch, Visio, MS Project, Adobe Creative Suite applications or similar.
·  Experience with health care public policy or experience in a heavily regulated environment.
·  Experience creating and delivering health care software products.
