This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to take on a new role as part of a strong sales team working within Willis Towers Watson! You will be selling our technology products across the North American territory to a combination of existing users and new names. The role will report to the Head of Technology Sales – The Americas
The Insurance Consulting Technology (ICT) business of Willis Towers Watson is primarily focused on the insurance industry but increasingly serves as a risk specialist across a variety of industries. We are also a leading provider of financial modeling software to the insurance industry. The role:
Across The Americas, we currently have a team focused on technology sales, pre-sales support, and account management activities. We are seeking to enhance the team by adding an enthusiastic and driven individual with a traditional background in inside sales for software and/or experience in selling to and negotiating with insurance companies, including IT and procurement departments.
The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with Customers (via telephone, Webex or email), responding to requests for quotations, orders, service queries, etc. The individual will work closely with Consultants in the field and outside sales to manage opportunities through to a close and to provide the best service to customers. They will keep up-to-date in product offerings, keep the customer informed, and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities;
· Proactively contact existing and new clients, keeping them aware of products and roadmaps
· Work with specified accounts to handle proposals and contracting
· Manage call volume and hit KPI and sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis, developing a plan to maintain a steady sales pipeline
· Be the primary point of contact for client questions, comments and an escalation point for service issues, ensuring the issue is resolved to the clients satisfaction
· Provide product quotes for leads generated by the consulting community, driving those leads to close.
· Analyse and identify customer needs
· Value each and every Customer by addressing their needs and communicating with them effectively
· “Up- Sell” products as appropriate to maximize Customer spend
· Provide good product knowledge to customers
· Deliver quotations in a timely and professional manner
· Work in a partnership with Outside Sales and Consulting
· Possess a Client first attitude
· Create and track sales KPI’s leveraging salesforce.com
· Build strong relationships with clients and Willis Towers Watson colleagues
· Work on Calling campaigns
· Project manage the negotiation and signature of software and technology contracts for handover to Client Services; including coordination with client IT, Procurement and Legal departments
· Review existing client software contract history and issues in the context of each new negotiation
The Requirements
· Minimum of 2 – 5 years of exceeding goals / targets in inside sales capacity
· Excellent communication, relationship building, and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrated ability to understand the need of clients and work with internal partners as the voice of the client to shape future capabilities to meet the client needs
· Ability to multitask and operate in rapidly changing environment based upon needs of the business
· Previous experience with Salesforce.com is an asset
· Consultative selling experience (proven track-record of meeting and exceeding sales goals) in a cold calling sales environment
· A hunter mentality with the ability to drive sales from the ground up
· Professionally manage a lead pipeline across throughout the sales cycle
· Ability to influence and negotiate with customers both internally and externally and at all levels
· Excellent problem solving skills
· High levels of initiative, self-motivation and time management
· Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
· Understanding vendor procurement process for goods and services (including purchase requisition and invoice process)
