JOB DESCRIPTION

The Role

Willis Towers Watson is currently looking for a part qualified Financial Analyst required to work within the Willis Re Finance team. The individual will be responsible for working closely with the finance team and business units within Reinsurance to build strong relationships and a deep understanding of the cost base and revenue streams and to support the delivery of high quality reporting, controls and advice to the business.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

Process delivery
Within a strong process driven framework and under the guidance of the FBP, delivery of regular and adhoc finance processes in accordance with a time and quality objectives. Including but not limited to:

·  Completion of key elements of the financial statement close process
·  Balance sheet reconciliations,
·  Investigation and clearance of reconciling items,
·  Transactional postings,
·  Support to preparation of analysis and analytical review of performance and position.
·  Supports compliance with group accounting policies and processes, SOX and GAAP

Reporting

·  Produce timely and accurate reporting, on a regular and ad-hoc basis as required:
·  Daily, weekly and monthly revenue reporting from sub-ledgers
·  Analytical review of cost base
·  Produce ad hoc commercial data requested by BU, including review of underlying data to support effective decision making

Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting and reporting

·  Supports Business Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting processes in respect of both revenue and costs as directed
·  Provides decision support for the creation of long term plans.

Business Relationships

·  Works collaboratively to build strong relationships with the Business Unit operations team to provide specialist financial support and information that they value.
·  Support broader finance organisation (GFS / GROUP) in jointly delivering to business operations expectations.
·  Builds a peer group with others within Finance to knowledge share and continuously improve the services delivered to the business.

Performs a variety of financial activities aligned to a specific area of the business. Develops and evaluates financial plans and policies. Responsibilities are within Finance Function as a generalist or in a combination of Job Families

The Requirements

·  Educated to A’ Level standard or equivalent
·  Part qualified and actively undertaking study to complete a recognised accountancy qualification. We would also consider candidates with some entry level finance/accounting skills who are looking to commence a career in finance
·  Good excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups etc)
·  Highly numerate and strong logical thinking abilities
·  Confident in communicating across the business at all levels.
