Translation Coordination Intern

Verboo, a dynamic language services agency based in Central London with a diverse portfolio of clients in the entertainment sector and beyond is looking for a Translation Coordination Intern to join its team. This role will provide invaluable hands-on experience in many aspects of translation & editorial work, as well as a grounding in the business operations of a busy agency in the entertainment industry.

Reporting to the Translation Project Managers, your role will involve preparation of material in a variety of languages for use within a wide range of industries: formatting, editing, fact-checking, proofreading & placing work with translators. There may also be opportunities to help out in our subtitling department.

Ideal candidate profile:

· Graduate or student of modern languages, translation studies or similar
· Fluency in at least one language other than English
· A very high degree of literacy, excellent communication skills and good telephone manner
· Ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail and a rigorous approach to work while under pressure
· An interest in media and the creative arts
· Experience of translation memory software would place you at an advantage

This challenging role would suit someone with good organisational and excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to prioritise and communicate effectively in a fast-paced media environment.

Remuneration: Expenses and full support and training where necessary

Start date: Immediate (six-month duration)
