Technology Charter

WeWork is creating a layer of technology to power our vision of “space as a service”. Who we are looking for

We want someone who wants to build advanced and technically sophisticated products to unify the physical and digital experience of tech-first shared workspaces. We want experienced Engineering Managers that thrive in small, focused and highly collaborative teams. You will work with the cross-functional teams to not only develop solutions but also help define problems and execute on projects. Strong communication skills and a desire to be involved in all aspects of the product life-cycle are a must. Strong problem-solving skills, thinking outside the box and dealing with ambiguity are skills that we value.

We want you to be passionate about building scalable software solutions. We want you to be flexible enough to learn fast and work through details, and being reliable. We are building location-based experiences for WeWork. We will be working on scalable applications that members and employees can use to manage and navigate our spaces.  

You will be involved in the design and development of services that leverage various technologies on wayfinding and indoor mapping!  

Responsibilities

· 
Guide the technical direction and priorities of a squad, ensuring delivery of high quality, fully automation tested software

· 
Mentor and coach software engineers through 1:1s and performance evaluations

· 
Partner with product managers, design on a regular basis in an agile environment to drive data-driven engineering and product decisions

· 
You'll contribute to the design and managing the development of our iOS apps with the goal of making our members more successful.

· 
Use knowledge of iOS development to help guide design and engineering decisions.

· 
Take on important engineering, scaling and performance issues.

· 
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Requirements

· 
2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager overseeing a team

· 
Experience building and managing large onsite & remote engineering teams (hiring, handling promotions, building teams, and process)

· 
Well versed with Android/iOS applications tech stack (Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C).

· 
Strong written and verbal communication skills
