Solutions Engineer

WCC's ELISE search and match software helps law enforcement secure borders and solve crimes, and staffing agencies match the most suitable candidates to vacancies and vice versa. As Solutions Engineer / Pre-Sales, you support business developers in qualifying, selling and winning opportunities.

As an excellent communicator and player in the sales process, you shape ELISE-based solutions to meet the customers’ needs; these solutions include software, professional and support services. Goals are achieved through creating new reference customers.

Collaboration with Sales, Development, Marketing, (business) consultants and partners which is essential in exceeding expectations. Partners are often large System Integrators, Application Software Platform providers and other Technology Partners. Cooperation in joint tender/bid processes is of key importance to win business.

As Solutions Engineer / Pre-Sales, you report to the Delivery Manager.

Responsibilities

Essential Interactions

• Closely work with partners, as well as, Business Development and Sales to grow WCC’s software revenue in existing accounts and to gain new customers;


• Join bid teams to develop and write bid proposals;


• Develop and write solution proposals and project plans with other consultants;


• Work with Development, especially the projects department for specific custom build functionality;


• Jointly develop requirements for demos of new functional modules based on customer and market input with Product Management;


• Cooperate with other departments to support the Business and Delivery departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science;


• 5+ years’ experience in pre- and post-sales preferably in a (international) software organization;


• (Business) process and technology knowledge and experience in the area of Identity Market and/or Labor Market;


• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Dutch. Other languages are a plus;


• Experience working with System Integrators and end-users;


• Understand commercial processes, resolve issues and ensure prospects are satisfied;


• Has a broad knowledge of ICT:

• Driver’s license is required;


• Willingness to travel abroad at least 50% of the time.
